Type locality: (neotype): Ngam, Sangmelina, Kamerun; originally “Dibongo, Edéa, Cameroon”.  
Reproductionoviparous (phylogenetic imputation, fide Zimin et al. 2022) 
TypesNeotype: MHNG 963.40, designated by Fuhn (1972: 264). Former Syntypes ZSM 427/1909, (3 specimens) destroyed during world war II.
Holotype: MNHN [Lygosoma (Leiolopisma) digitatum] 
Diagnosis

EtymologyNamed after Reinhold Theodor Rohde, an Australian Lutheran missionary, who arrived in Cameroon (then a German colony) for the Swiss Basel Mission prior to 1904. He collected fish and ants for Naturmuseum Senckenberg, Frankfurt (1909), and sent anthropological material to Goethe Universitat Frankfurt am Main.
