TypesSyntypes: BMNH 1946.8.16.89 (formerly 63.12.11.142), Agam, purchased P. Bleeker; ZMB 4055, Agam, Sumatra, donated P. Bleeker. 
Diagnosis 
CommentLimb morphology: Limbs reduced with only 2 toes and vestigial fingers.

Chelomeles sumatrensis has been described by BLEEKER 1860 as well as GÜNTHER 1873 (who received his specimens from Bleeker), hence both authors have been cited as first describers.

Type species: Chelomeles sumatrensis Bleeker 1860 is the type species of the genus Dimeropus COPE 1892, a nomen oblitum and a synonym of Larutia, fide Shea 2021. 
Etymologynamed after the type locality on Sumatra.
