Diagnosis	Diagnosis: This species is most closely related to A. agrorensis and A. melanura. The jet black colour, number of labials, body and callose scalation suggest that it is neither agrorensis nor melanura or any other species of Agama. [from BAIG 1989].
Comment
Etymology	named after the type locality.The two subspecies have been named after herpetologists M.S. Khan (Pakistan) and Walter Auffenberg (USA).
