Type locality: Engano Island (”Bua Bua”)

TypesLectotype: MSNG 31287, collected E. Modigliani, 1891. Designation by Capocaccio (1961). 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: SVL to 56 mm; 18 lamellae under toe IV; tail thick; a light vertebral stripe present and labials with a small white spot (from DAS & AUSTIN 2007). 
CommentNot listed in BROWN & ALCALA 1980. Has been (erroneously?) reported from the Philippines.

Abundance: Rare. 
EtymologyNamed after the Latin word relictus, meaning "abandoned or forsaken", probably after its relict population on Engano Island.
