| Diagnosis | Diagnosis: This species is distinct from other congeneric species in having the loreal nearly square and separated from the upper preocular, 198-203 ventral scales, and 13-14 transverse light bands only on the anterior three-fourths of the body, and by lacking keels on dorsal scales.
