Type locality: "Nossi-Bé, Madagascar." [=Nosy Be Island, western Antsiranana Province, extreme northwestern Madagascar].

Diagnosis 
CommentType species: Micropisthodon ochraceus MOCQUARD 1894: 8 is the type species of the genus Micropisthodon MOCQUARD 1894.

Habitat: fully arboreal (Harrington et al. 2018).
