DiagnosisDiagnosis: A species of Nucras with a series of transversely enlarged plates under the forearm, a series of granules between supraoculars and supraciliaries and a dorsal pattern consisting of seven pale longitudinal· stripes. In life, . readily distinguished from its congeners by its powder-blue tail, from which it derives its specific name (unfortunately this coloration fades after preservation). The dorsal pattern is similar to that round in the holubi morph of N. taeniolata ornata, but the pale stripes tend to be broader and are often as wide or wider than the dark interspaces. This is a small species, not attaining the size of sympatric and parapatric populations of N. taeniolata ornata or N. intertexta.
