TypesHolotype: BMNH 1946.8.21.72, gravid female. Previously NHMUK1906.10.19.1. 
Diagnosis 
CommentSubspecies: Rhampholeon marshalli gorongosae BROADLEY 1971 has been elevated to full species status.

Type species: Rhampholeon marshalli BOULENGER 1906 is the type species of the subgenus Bicuspis LOVERIDGE 1956. 
EtymologyNamed after the collector of the type, G. H. K. Marshall.
