Type locality: "between Shivpur (Shivapur) and Bankas near the Surai Khola in southern West Nepal (Lumbini Zone, Kapilabastu District). Geographic coordinates... N 27º43'17" / E 82º50'40" ; 316 m elevation

TypesHolotype: unlocated; originally Fuhlrott-Museum Wuppertal (VW/D-95/1) and VW/D-95/2-7 (five paratypes), not in ZSM (fide Glaw and Franzen, pers. comm., Feb 2019) 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: “A tiny Silana species with a snout-vent-length of Iiltle over four centimetres. The very small gular sac of males ends between the forelegs and not in midventer as in the hitherto known Sitana species.” (Schleich et al. 1998). 
CommentDistribution: see map in Deepak et al. 2021: 269 (Fig. 4). 
EtymologyNamed after Siwalik range in S Nepal where the species was found.
