Type locality: Siboney, Cantiago de Cuba, 40 m. elevation.

Diagnosis 
CommentSpecimens of S. dimorphicus have previously been described as Sphaerodactylus torrei ocujal (La Socapa and El morro in Santiago de Cuba) or Sphaerodactylus nigropunctatus ocujal (bay and around and East of Santiago de Cuba). 
EtymologyFrom the Latin di (two), and morpho (form).
