DiagnosisDIAGNOSIS. A long-legged Sphenomorphus lacking nuchals, having 6 supraoculars, 2 anterior loreals, 41 or 42 scale rows, 16-18 scales under fourth toe, and a black dorsum with conspicuous small light spots. Males lack special coloration. (Inger & Hosmer 1965)

CommentAbundance: this is one of the species called “lost” and “rediscovered” by Lindken et al. 2024. 
EtymologyNamed after Georg Haas (1905-1981), Austrian-born zoologist and professor in Jerusalem, Israel. See Gans 1983 for an obituary.
