TypesHolotype: CAS 18700, Koshun, Formosa, collected V. Kuhne [J.C. Thompson], 14.iii.1909. (same type specimen sometimes given for boulengeri) 
Diagnosis 
CommentThompson’s privately printed paper was apparently published a month earlier than Van Denburgh’s ( Zhao & Adler 1993). Ota & Lue (1994) use the name boulengeri as for a valid species.
