Type locality: Kosi Kosi, on top of Mount Nyiru, elevation 2650 m, Kenya (02° 07’ 25’’ N, 036° 51’ 01’’ E).

Diagnosis 
CommentAbundance: only known from its original description (Meiri et al. 2017). 
EtymologyNamed after the Latin phonetic transcription of the Samburu local term "n'tunte" (meaning "having a large belly") that is commonly used for chameleons in the vicinity of South Horr village.
