Etymology | Named after Dr. Robert Broom (1866-1951), a physician, paleontologist, and Professor of Zoology and Geology, Victoria College, Stellenbosch, South Africa (1903-1910), and later Keeper of Vertebrate Palaeontology, South Africa Museum, Cape Town, and on the staff, Transvaal Museum, Pretoria, as an Assistant in Paleontology (1934). |
