Type locality: above Mang Xang Village, Ngoc Linh Mountain, Dac Glei District, Kon Tum Province, Vietnam (15°05' N 107°57' E, elevation 1700 m).

TypesHolotype: ZISP 25569 adult female, collected 15 September 1998 by Nikolai L. Orlov.

EtymologyThe specific epithet abramovi is given after Dr. Alexey V. Abramov (Zoological Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences, St. Petersburg, Russia) in recognition of his many contributions 10 the study of Vietnam and many records of rare and new species of animals, in particular amphibians and reptiles.
