Type locality: Brasil: Bahia: Xique-Xique (Arraial do Paulista, 10° 46' S, 42° 46' W).

DiagnosisDiagnosis: “Tropidurus pequeno; virilha sem balsa de acarianos, com escamas bern diferenciadas; escamas do lado do pescoco menores que as temporais, imbricadas, levemente carenadas e mucronadas. Lados do pescoco com duas regiões deprimidas de igual tamanho separadas por pequena dobra: a anterior e mais ventral com escamas iguais às da dobra: a posterior, situada em posicão mais dorsal. com alguns granulos. Supraoculares estreitas, dispostas em tres fileiras longitudinais irregulares. Macho adulto com rnanchas negras na face ventral da coxa e aba anal. rodendo on não, estar presente na porcão ventral da raiz da cauda [from RODRIGUES et al. 1988; apologies for imperfect OCR].
