DiagnosisDiagnosis: Very robust habitus; short, wide head; relatively short limbs and tail; 2 supraoculars (2nd and 3rd; 1st and 4th divided); one or 2 rows of granules between supraoculars and superciliaries; eyelid.s not pectinate; ear opening not pectinate, upper half covered by fold of skin; tem~oral scales granular; indistinct subocular keel; subocular separated from IIp by small scale; 4 supralabials anterior to subocular; gulars large, imbricate; ventrals in 12 straight longitudinal rows; dorsals smooth, flat, slightly larger than laterals; scales on upper surface of tail large, smooth, imbricate; 3 series of scales around fingers; toes slightly pectinate.
