CommentType species: Aeluroglena cucullata BOULENGER 1898 is the type species of the genus Aeluroglena BOULENGER 1898. 
EtymologyNamed after Latin cucullus = cap or hood.

The genus was named after Greek aeluros (αἴλουρος), cat + Greek glene (γλήνη), the pupil; socket or eyeball. [“…eye moderate, withvertically elliptical pupil…”].
