Etymology | Named after Dr. Enrica Calabresi (1891-1944), “author of the earliest modern reviews of the Somali herpetofauna”. Note that Gans & Laurent literally said “Enrico”, so they either thought it’s a man or it’s a typo. Calabresi was Jewish and committed suicide before being deported to Auschwitz. |
