Type locality: Angola

mehelyi: Cameroon; Type locality: Bipindi [=‘Bipindihof], Cameroon [probably erroneous fide WAGNER et al. 2009].  
Reproductionoviparous 
TypesType: BMNH 1946.8.27.97 (and possibly additional specimens).
Holotype: ZMB 18149, "Bipindi", leg. ZenkeI [mehelyi]
Syntyps: ZMB 22998 und ZMB 55937 (was ZBM 22998 part.) don. SCHULTZE; Terra typica: Groß-Bruckkarroßberg [now Namibia] [namaquensis] 
Diagnosis 
CommentSynonymy after WERMUTH 1967 and STEJNEGER 1907. A. mehelyi was considered as valid species by various authors but has been synonymized with A. anchietae by WAGNER et al. (2009). 
EtymologyNamed after José de Anchieta (9 Oct 1832 -14 Sep 1897), Portugese explorer of Africa.
