Diagnosis 
CommentSynonymy: Has been previously synonymized with A. hartmanni by ANDERSON 1898.

Phylogenetics: Agama cf. benueensis is not closely related to A. doriae. It may be treated as a valid species. However, LEACHÉ et al. 2014 showed it as such in various trees without discussing its differences to it’s sister species, A. sankaranica and A. boensis.

Distribution: Agama doriae doesn’t occur in Mali. Not in Benin fide ULLENBRUCH et al. 2010. Map in Moody & Böhme 1984. A. d. benueensis is not in Nigeria fide MEDIANNIKOV et al. 2012.
