elgonis: Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania. Type locality: Mount Elgon (elevation: 6500-8500 feet), Kenya.

lionotus: Uganda, Kenya. Type locality: Southeast of Lake Rudolf, Gallaland (= Kenya)

ufipae: W Tanzania, Lake Tanganijka. Type locality: Kipili, Ufipa, Tanganyika Territory.

usambarae: Usambara Mountains, Tanzania. Type locality: Soni, Usambara Mountains, Tanzania. Map legend:

CommentSynonymy: Agama agama usambarae has been synonymized with A. lionotus by WAGNER 2007. Agama agama turuensis LOVERIDGE 1932 has been revalidated by WAGNER et al. 2008.
