Diagnosis | Diagnosis: Ptychoglossus danieli is the only species with the combination of high number of transverse dorsal scale rows (31-33), rounded lateral snout protile, no lateral told or zone of small scales and relatively long body with short limbs (at most, adpressed limbs touch in adults). A pair of large squarish pregulars, a characteristic unique to this species, lie between the posterior chin shields.
