Type locality: Brazil: Mato Grosso: Cafeara (11°50’S, 50°20’W). Note: The coordinates are apparently in error as this location is not in Mato Grosso.

TypesHolotype: MZUSP 6418. Paratype: MZUSP 6415–6417, 6419–6423, same data as the holotype. 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: A small species (maximum total length 170 mm). Two preanal pores; 180-185 body annuli; 20-22 tail annuli; autotomy level between fourth and fifth or between fifth and sixth caudal annuli; 10/10 (in one case 10/11) segments to a midbody annulus.

CommentMorphology: This species is one of ~20 species of Amphisbaena with two precloacal pores (Ribeiro et al. 2019).
