Diagnosis 
CommentSynonymy that of Oftedal (1974). For additional references see Anadia marmorata.

Distribution: Not listed for Ecuador by TORRES-CARVAJAL 2001. Records of this species from Ecuador are misidentified specimens of A. petersi (Oftedal, 1974: 218).

Type species: Anadia ocellata GRAY 1845 is the type species of the genus Anadia GRAY 1845. 
EtymologyFrom lat. ocellus = diminuitive of oculus: eye; with ocellated scales, or patches that look like eyes.
