TypesLectotype: NMV D1851, designated by Coventry (1970), collector unknown. 
CommentThe genus Anepischetos is pre-occupied by Lepidoptera.

Type species: Siaphos maccoyi LUCAS & FROST 1894: 85 is the type species of the genus Anepischetosia WELLS & WELLINGTON 1985.
