Distribution: listed for Honduras by MCCRANIE & KÖHLER 2015: 292 only in a “note added in proof”.

Species group: Norops auratus Species Group (fide Nicholson et al. 2012) 
EtymologyNamed after German herpetologist Heinz Wermuth (1918-2002). See Friederich 2003 for an obituary.
