Comment | Status: The validity of this taxon is highly dubious [RIVAS et al. 2012]. BOULENGER 1885 listed A. gibbiceps as synonym of A. schiedii.
Distribution: C. McCarthy (BMNH), cited in RIVAS et al. 2012, stated that the holotype is not from Venezuela but from Jamaica.
