| Distribution | Peru, Brazil (Acre)
Type locality: Itahuania, Upper Río Madre de Dios, Peru.
|
| Reproduction | oviparous |
| Types | Holotype: FMNH 81369 (originally CNHM), adult male |
| Diagnosis | Diagnosis: Close to Anolis proboscis Peters and Orcés, A. phyllorhinus Myers and Carvalho, A. laevis (Cope), and A. punctatus Daudin. From all of these the new species differs by the absence of any trace of swelling on the snout, by having the ventrals in oblique rather than transverse rows, by its more slender body and longer, narrower head (measured to interparietal scale 1.5 times tibia, ca. ¼ snout-vent length). (Williams 1965)

| Comment | Species groups: Dactyloa punctata species group (fide NICHOLSON et al. 2012).
Conservation: very rare - only 3 specimens have been found. |
| Etymology | Named after Latin dissimilis, unlike, different, dissimilar. (WILLIAMS 1965, Esteban Lavilla, pers. comm., April 2024) |
