DistributionSt.-Martin (= St. Maarten); known to have occurred on Anguilla, where now apparently extinct; may also have occurred on St.-Barthélémy.

Type locality: Columbier Valley, French St. Martin.

Species group: Ctenonotus bimaculatus species group (fide NICHOLSON et al. 2012).

Karyotype: 2n=29, X1X2Y (males) or 2n = 0, X1X1X2X2 (females) (Giovannotti et al. 2016) 
EtymologyThe name uses an arbitrary combination of letters, as explained by Lazell (1972: 35).
