Type locality: CUBA, 1 km al S de Sibanicú, Provincia de Camagüey.

TypesHolotype: MHNH 14.111 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: Small size with compact complexion. Fold in the ear opening. Base of tail swollen and enlarged post-cloacal scales in males. Snout short. High number of loreal scales. Males with gular fold yellowish, not very developed. Conspicuous suprascapular black spot. Mental divided, as long as wide. 
CommentSpecies group: Anolis carolinensis species group (fide NICHOLSON et al. 2012). 
Etymologynamed after the collector of the type, Rolando Teruel, Cuban arachnologist.
