TypesHolotype: MNHN-RA 1997.6058 (by monotypy and original designation), a 110 mm juvenile specimen, sex unknown 
DiagnosisDIAGNOSIS: “Une espèce de Typhlops élancée, probablement de petite taille, caractérisée par la combinaison suivante de caractères: un museau plutôt droit, une tête plutôt rectangulaire, un nombre élevé d'écailles dorsales (entre 400 et 405). 22 rangées d'écailles sur le périmètre du corps dans la partie antérieure et 20 rangées dans la partie postérieure, une coloration dorsale gris-beige s'étendant essentiellement sur 9 écailles de large, une queue relativement longue, des yeux dont les bords antérieurs passent sous les écailles préoculaires, une écaille oculaire de grande taille, les premières pariétales plus grandes que les secondes.” (Breuil 1999)
