Type locality: 1 mi. N Carlisle, St. Mary’s Parish, Antigua, British West Indies.  
Reproductionoviparous (manual imputation, fide Zimin et al. 2022) 
TypesHolotype: MCZ 81115, adult; paratypes: USNM, BMNH, INHS (= UIMNH), MCZ, ASFS 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: A subspecies of T. monastus differing from the nominate race in having fewer middorsal scales, a higher degree of labial flare, and reduced pigmentation shown in the fewer pigmented scale rows and the lack of ventral caudal pigmentation. (Thomas 1966)
