Distribution: not in Angola fide Branch 2018.

Subspecies: the status of Aparallactus capensis uluguruensis is unclear (D. Meirte, pers. comm., 3 Feb 2014). 
EtymologyNamed after Albert Günther (1830-1914), German-born zoologist at the British Museum.
