Type locality: "Pweto (Distr. du Haut-Katanga), Congo Belge," [Zaire].

TypesHolotype: RMCA (= MRAC = MFAC) 240, a 389 mm female (Lemaire, 1899).

Similar species: Aparallactus moeruensis is very similar to and may be a synonym of A. capensis or A. lunulatus.

Abundance: apparently only known from the holotype.
