Diagnosis | DESCRIPTION: Maximum SVL 363 mm (females unknown); ventrals 137 in male; subcaudals 168 in male; ventrals + subcaudals in male 245; dorsal scale rows at midbody 17; supralabials 7; infralabials 8; preoculars 1/1; postoculars 2/3; loreals asymmetrical in holotype, 1/2; rostral not distinctly upturned; anal divided. Dorsal ground color pale tan; dorsal scales rows 1 to lower half of 3 cream to white and concolor with venter; dorsal pattern a series of 3 longitudinal lines, the lateral pair faint, the median dorsal line even fainter and diffuse; lateral lines on scale rows 3 and 4; top of head brown, sharply defined marginally, extending from prefrontals onto parietals; a pair of tan paramedian blotches, darker than central dorsal ground color, separated from cephalic cap; overall impression quinquelineate pattern (Schwartz & Henderson 1991: 582). |
