Type locality: Kyrgyzstan in the southern slope of the Talassky Ridge, ravine (or canyon) of Chichkan River.

|Etymology||this species is named after V.K. Jeremcenko, Russian herpetologist who is sometimes cited as YERIOMCHENKO, EREMCHENKO, or JERJOMTSCHENKO. We use the spelling “JEREMČENKO” to consolidate these spelling variants when the author himself is quoted.|
