CommentSynonymy after SMITH 1943. The form melanocephala is variously considered as a subspecies, color variant, or full species (the latter by KHAN, pers. comm.).

Distribution: Possibly in Bhutan (Lenz 2012). For a map see Sindaco et al. 2013.

Habitat: fully arboreal (Harrington et al. 2018).
