Diagnosis | Diagnosis: Habitus slender; snout-vent length 130 mm. for one specimen; limbs greatly reduced with 4 clawed toes on both fore and hind limbs, length of hind limb 7.5 per cent snout-vent length (1 specimen); ear opening questionable because of injury; no postnasal; 28 scale rows around the middle of the body; 102 scale rows along the middorsal line between the parietals and the base of the tail (from BROWN 1956). Comment | Limb morphology: reduced limbs. This species is only known from a few specimens. Habitat: semifossorial and typically found in dry, rotting material inside or underneath decaying logs or in loose soil, forest floor detritus, and leaf litter of higher elevation forest. Abundance: only known from its original description (Meiri et al. 2017). |
