DiagnosisDiagnosis: Habitus slender; snout-vent length 130 mm. for one specimen; limbs greatly reduced with 4 clawed toes on both fore and hind limbs, length of hind limb 7.5 per cent snout-vent length (1 specimen); ear opening questionable because of injury; no postnasal; 28 scale rows around the middle of the body; 102 scale rows along the middorsal line between the parietals and the base of the tail (from BROWN 1956). 
CommentLimb morphology: reduced limbs.

This species is only known from a few specimens.

Habitat: semifossorial and typically found in dry, rotting material inside or underneath decaying logs or in loose soil, forest floor detritus, and leaf litter of higher elevation forest.

Abundance: only known from its original description (Meiri et al. 2017). This is one of the species called 'lost' and 'rediscovered' by Lindken et al. 2024. 
EtymologyNamed after John Dutton Wright (1866-1952), an educator and philanthropist in New York and Santa Barbara, California.
