Diagnosis 
CommentSynonymy: Brookesia antoetrae has been synonymized with B. thieli by Raxworthy and Nussbaum (1995). However, Brady (1996) and others continue to consider Brookesia antoetrae as a valid species. 
EtymologyNamed after Jean Thiel, a French expert on tropical forests, especially hardwood trees.
