Type locality: Fyzabad, Uttar Pradesh, India; [26° 47'N, 82°09'E, elevation 100 m]  
TypesSyntypes: BNHS = BNHM 2169, BMNH 1946.1.18.51-53, ZSI 15727 

Synonymy: Mertens 1969 considered B. sindanus as a variant (and synonym) of B. caeruleus.

Distribution: Possibly in Bhutan (Lenz 2012). The ma in Kästle & Schleich 2013: 312 shows walli near the border of Nepal but not in Nepal.
