Types	Lectotype: AMS R142007 (AM) (formerly 6676), collected A.H. Blackman. Lectotype designation (by inference of holotype) by Cogger (1979); see Shea & Sadlier (1999).

Etymology	Named after Harriett Scott (1830-1907), an artist who illustrated Krefft’s Mammals of Australia (1871) and some of his Snakes of Australia (1869).
