CommentSynonymy after INGER & MARX 1965. Boulenger (1894) was in error in
placing macrurus in the synonymy of leucocephala (= schlegeli).

Type: The holotype of macrurus is identical to that of bicolor. 
EtymologyNamed after Latin bicolor, of two colors.
