DiagnosisDiagnosis: Taylor 1965: 804
CommentSynonymy after INGER & MARX 1965, who mention Calamaria pavimentata semidoliata WERNER 1896 as “doubtful form”.

Subspecies: Calamaria pavimentata semidoliata is listed by INGER & MARX 196 as a “doubtful form” since they were not able to study the holotype the location of which is unknown. Might be synonymous to C. doederleini.

Conservation: C. p. miyarai is classified as “vulnerable” in Japan (Ota 2000).

Distribution: not on Java (Indonesia) fide de Lang 2017; the original type locality (Java, Indonesia) is in error.
EtymologyNamed after Latin pavimentum (floor of stones) and the Latin suffix -atus (provided with, having the nature of, pertaining to), apparently named after the pattern that is reminiscent of floor tiles.

The subspecies miyarai was named after the collector of the type, Mr. Sonko Miyara.
