Comment	For illustrations see Cochran, 1941. Type species: Celestus darlingtoni COCHRAN 1939: 2 is the type species of the genus Caribicus SCHOOLS & HEDGES 2021. Content: Caribicus anelpistus, C. darlingtoni, C. warreni. Habitat: Species of Caribicus are mostly ground-adapted ecomorphs (Schools et al. 2022). Etymology	Named after Dr. Philip Jackson Darlington Jr. (1904-1983), an evolutionary biologist, zoogeographer, and beetle taxonomist. The genus name (Caribicus gen. nov.) is a masculine noun derived from the name for the region (Caribbean) in which it occurs and the suffix -icus (“belonging to”).
