Type locality: “al Monte Epa nel S.E. Nuova Guinea, poco lonanto dall’ Isola Yule”.

CommentSynonymy after ZUG 2004. 
EtymologyNamed probably after the Latin adjective “luctuosus” = sorrowful or mournful, presumably referring to the black “hood” of adults.
