Diagnosis 
CommentChamaeleo gracilis etiennei is now considered as a valid species.

Distribution: Not in Equatorial Guinea fide SÁNCHEZ-VIALAS et al. 2022. The type locality of C. burchelli [Fernando Po Island] is likely a mistake fide Mertens (1964). Not in Gabon fide PAUWELS & VANDE WEGHE 2008. 
EtymologyNamed after Latin “gracilis”, meaning small or lanky, or gracile.
