Diagnosis | Diagnosis: Cnemaspis indica differs from its peninsular Indian and Sri Lankan congeners by a combination of the following characters. Maximum SVL 30.4 mm; paired postmentals separated by a medial scale; each postmental bounded by 3 scales including medial scale; ventrals, 94; dorsal scales homogeneous, imbricate, carinate; spine-like tubercles absent on flank; ventrals smooth, imbricate; no preanal pores; 5 femoral pores on each side; subcaudals smooth, median series slightly enlarged; supralabials to angle of jaws, 7; subdigital lamellae on digit IV of pes, 14 [from Manamendra-Arachchi et a. 2007]. |
