DistributionE Botswana (dry lowveld, especially Colophospermum savanna), S Zimbabwe, N Republic of South Africa, and Mozambique south of the Save River." (fide BROADLEY & BRANCH 2002).

Type locality: “Murchison Range, Transvaal”.
